1. As a rule never skip breakfast.
2. Proteins should be taken in moderate amount, and thus only small quantity of milk be taken with your cereals like cornflakes and porridge etc.
3. Papaya or watermelon, a glass of lassi or a small helping of cornflakes with a little milk without sugar helps to maintain weight.
4. Use finely sliced unpeeled apple or pear slices in the cereal for sweetness instead of sugar.
5. One can have sandwiches of hari chutney (dhaniya or pudina) with tomato or kheera slices (avoid putting salt on it, as the chutney makes up for the taste).
6. Always eat papaya and rub the peel on your face for special glow.
